This on one of the new generation of Airfix kits and like the others is a huge improvement over the older kits in terms of accuracy, detail and fit. I’ve got one of the old Frog/NOVO moulded Whitley kits and this Airfix kit is superior in every way. The kit builds up nicely into either a Coastal Command aircraft or one of the BOAC aircraft – the Bomber Command versions are provided in a different boxing (although the bomber versions can be built from the sprues in this kit – their is an additional sprue for the Coastal Command and BOAC specific parts).
All in all I’m very happy with this kit and would thoroughlly recommed it.

This is a very nicely engineered kit from Airfix, but still a couple of fit issues.
Lots of interior detail which looks superb, unfortunately 80% of it is hidden when kit complete.
Airfix definitely up their game with this kit, would recommend.

I ordered this model for £29, a higher price than some other reviewers say they bought theirs for but since it is something to do during the lockdown, I felt it is worth it.
It did not come the next day prime delivery due to the lockdown but again that is okay as there are other more important things for Amazon to deliver so no complaints at the 4 days it took instead.
The model looks good, and the plastic pieces look high quality and have a great level of detail, this is very impressive.
The reason for the for the drop in star rating is because the box does not contain the glue / plastic cement required to put the model together, nor the paints required to complete the aircraft in its final glory. So what I have received is a bunch of bits of plastic, that look great on their own in pieces, and I am sure that they would look magnificent once attached together, but I cannot do anything with them. All I have is a lot of grey plastic pieces of a Whitley and no facilities to put them together or paint.

This is a very detailed, accurate and well produced plastic kit of a rather forgotten aircraft that played an important role at the start of WW2. It is well up to the high standards of previous Airfix aircraft kits, and the price is much cheaper than other suppliers.

El día que Horby compro Airfix nos vino Dios a ver. Aunque siguen saliendo algún que otro chustazo, en general, su modelos han mejorado una barbaridad.

At the time of purchase this kit was £17, which was a steal for the size and parts count. A new tool kit from Airfix, Inhave yet to make her but i am informed that the kit goes together well and is extremely nice when finished.
The quality of the new Airfix is outstanding and well recommended.
